Alan Pryde and John Cuddihy

Alan Pryde has lived in Strone near Dunoon since 1984. He is married and has one daughter,he has been a keen biker since his teens and has had a variety of bikes over the years and at the moment he rides a Kawasaki ZZR1100C. Although his bike is quite old, it has obviously been lavished with tender loving care by its previous owners and Alan is no exception, having recently replaced the steering head bearings, fork seals and bushes and replaced the cush bearing in the rear wheel. Alan is instantly recognisable thanks to the outrageous paint job as you can see from the picture below which was taken on a chilly January morning in 2007 in the Pier carpark at Inverary.

Unfortunately the ZZR has finally reached the end of the road, the bike needs major work to get it through another MOT.

Fortunately Alan has found some consolation in a much younger and fitter model. He has bought himself a Kawasaki ZX9-R, ( Mid -Life Crisis Methinks!!!!!!- Sorry Alan), in pristine condition. It will be nice not having to rebuild or replace something on the ZZR every winter in preparation for the next season. We all wish him many happy hours with the new bike.

John Cuddihy has lived in Dunoon since 1993 having moved from Helensburgh with his wife and daughter, 14 years later and with the addition of another Daughter, 3 Collies, 1 Shar-Pei, a Rosella Parakeet and a Cockatiel, he has returned to his first love, Motorbikes! After a break of some twenty years and after a short but serious illness he decided life was too short not to do the things you love and decided to buy a new Suzuki Bandit 650s, the bike is now a year old and will shortly be given a makeover with the addition of Fairing Lowers, hugger and new dark tinted screen as the original tends to cause the wind to hit him on the forehead which makes higher speeds decidedly uncomfortable.
